Marilyn is an amazing woman with a heart for people. After faithfully caring for her ill husband over the past 30 years, she was facing a seemingly impossible task of preparing for the funeral and getting her house in order for visiting family and friends. When Marilyn shared the bittersweet news of her husband’s home-going, we prayed together for the Lord’s comfort, guidance and enabling, and scheduled time later that week. After funeral preparations were made, we successfully organized and cleaned her home so she felt prepared to receive guests over the next few days. Restoring order to her home during a difficult time helped Marilyn focus on the most important things, honoring the memory of her husband, grieving and gaining comfort and support from her family and friends.
